Medical Indemnity Provision

We are delighted to announce that we have secured bulk medical indemnity provision for all our trainees, from MDDUS, an experienced and established provider. This means Peninsula Postgraduate Medical Education trainees will benefit from full cover, for the whole three-year training programme, being arranged and paid for automatically. GP trainees in hospital posts will benefit from enhanced medico-legal assistance from MDDUS on top of the standard NHS cover that they receive when in hospital posts (the standard NHS cover will continue to be arranged through the placement hospital trust). Trainees in practice posts will receive full cover, arranged by MDDUS, for the time they are in practice. Trainees will, of course, have the option of arranging cover for themselves if they would prefer, however, we would encourage any trainees who would like us to arrange their cover from their start date, not to renew their cover beyond the end of the month before the month you commence training.

Important information on the process is below, please read ALL attachments very carefully.
