North Devon Planned Educational Programme
The GP programme directors plan an educational programme covering all aspects of the new GP curriculum. When ST1 or ST2 release days are scheduled once a month, the ST3 (Registrars) usually join them in the afternoon, so allowing a healthy exchange of experience and ideas in a confidential environment. There will be a variety of resources used including expert speakers, patients, and indeed the trainees themselves. The programme directors, all local GP's, often lead sessions on topics such as problem cases & consultation skills. We also arrange an annual awayday or residential - a chance to look at the broader aspects of life as a G.P in a more relaxed setting.
